WAYNE A. HUCIK, ALS – President

EDUCATION: Attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, studying Survey Technology on an Alberta Government Bursary. Graduated in 1968. Received Alberta Land Surveyor’s Commission (ALS) in 1975.

EXPERIENCE: Over forty years experience in all areas of surveying, specializing particularly within the Oil & Gas Industry:

Survey career began in 1966 with the Alberta Government, working in the field on legal road surveys and in the Director of Surveys Office as a plan checker.

Partner and Assistant General Manager from 1975 to 1979 with Ford Surveys Ltd., until a corporate merger with The McElhanney Group. Shareholder and a manager with McElhanney’s Petroleum Division from 1979 to 1981.

Manager of Operations for Westcan Surveys Ltd. From 1981 to 1983.

President and co-founder of Northcan Surveys Ltd. From January 1985 to present.

MEMBERSHIP: Member of the Alberta Land Surveyors’ Association

GREG HERTZ – Vice President and Operations Manager
 


EDUCATION: Attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology studying Engineering Graphics, 1974 – 1975.

EXPERIENCE: Over thirty years experience, almost exclusively within the Oil & Gas Industry:

Began surveying career in 1975 with Ford Surveys Ltd. As a Party Chief.

Employed as a Project Co-ordinator for The McElhanney Group in their Petroleum Division from 1979 to 1981.

Field supervisor from 1982 to 1984, for Westcan Surveys Ltd.

Vice President, co-founder and Field Operations Manager from 1985 to present.

 

PAUL A. DENSMORE, P.Eng., ALS, CLS

EDUCATION: 1987 Graduated from Nova Scotia College of Geographic Sciences with Diploma in Surveying

1992 Graduated from University of New Brunswick with Bachelor of Science in Survey Engineering

 

EXPERIENCE: Spent 5 years performing high accuracy alignment and deformation surveys in Canada and the United States. 9 years performing cadastral surveys in Alberta, the last 5 years have been concentrated in the oil and gas industry. Currently a Project Manager.


MEMBERSHIP: 1998 Member of APEGGA (The Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta)
2002 Member of the Alberta Land Surveyors Association
2005 Member of the Association of Canada Land Surveyors

 

TERENCE J. CHIDDY B.Sc., ALS, CLS


 

EDUCATION: 1975 Graduated from University of Cape Town, South Africa with Bachelor of Science in Survey Engineering


EXPERIENCE: Undertook cadastral and engineering surveys for a land survey company in South Africa for 27 years, 18 of which as General Manager and Partner. Last 5 years spent performing cadastral surveys in Alberta, Canada concentrating in the oil and gas industry. Currently a Project Manager.


MEMBERSHIP: 1976 – Member of the Central Council of Land Surveyor’s of South Africa.
2004 Member of the Alberta Land Surveyors Association
2004 Member of the Association of Canada Land Surveyors
 

CLIVE S. MacKEEN, N.S.L.S., Affiliate Member A.L.S.A.

EDUCATION: 1976, Graduate of the Nova Scotia Land Survey Institute, now Nova Scotia College of Geographic Sciences.


EXPERIENCE:1976 to 2002, preformed legal surveys, construction surveys, pre-engineering surveys and the first gas plant / pipeline survey in Nova Scotia.

2002 to 2005, preformed land claim surveys, community surveys and mineral claim surveys in Nunavut and The Northwest Territories.

2005 to present, performing survey work in Alberta, concentrated in the oil and gas sector.

 1979 to 2005, founding partner and in 1990 became president of Taylor and MacKeen Surveys Limited, Nova Scotia.


MEMBERSHIP: 1979 became member of the Association of Nova Scotia Land Surveyors.  

2006 became affiliate member of the Alberta Land Surveyors Association.
